1. Introduction

These terms and conditions govern your use of the SCS Driving Instructor website and the driving instruction services we provide. By using our website or booking lessons with us, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Please read these terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use our website or services.

2. Service Description

SCS Driving Instructor provides professional manual driving instruction in the Wetherby area. Our services include:

• Individual driving lessons (typically 1 hour in duration)
• Block booking packages at discounted rates
• Introductory lessons for new learners
• Intensive driving courses
• Theory test preparation support and resources
• Online booking and progress tracking via our student dashboard

All lessons are conducted in a dual-controlled vehicle by a fully qualified DVSA Approved Driving Instructor (ADI).

3. Booking and Cancellation

3.1 Booking

Lessons can be booked through our online booking system or by contacting us directly. When you book a lesson, you are entering into a binding agreement for that time slot. Bookings are confirmed via email and are subject to availability.

3.2 Cancellation Policy

You may cancel or reschedule a booked lesson free of charge provided you give at least 24 hours' notice before the scheduled lesson time.

3.3 Instructor Cancellation

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel a lesson (e.g., due to illness or severe weather), we will notify you as soon as possible and offer an alternative time slot at no additional cost. No charge will be made for lessons cancelled by the instructor.

3.4 Punctuality

Lessons will begin and end at the scheduled times. If you are not ready at the agreed pickup location at the lesson start time, the lesson time will not be extended. If you are more than 15 minutes late without contact, the lesson may be treated as a no-show and the full fee will apply.

4. Payment Terms

All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.

• Single lessons — Payment is due at the time of booking or at the start of the lesson.
• Block bookings — Full payment is required at the time of booking. Block bookings are non-refundable once lessons have commenced, except in exceptional circumstances at our discretion.
• Introductory offers — Subject to availability and valid only during the advertised offer period.
• Intensive courses — Full payment is required before the course start date.

We accept payment by bank transfer, cash, and major debit/credit cards. Prices are subject to change, but any price changes will not affect bookings already confirmed.

5. Limitation of Liability

SCS Driving Instructor provides driving instruction to the best of our professional ability. However:

• We do not guarantee that you will pass your driving test after any number of lessons. Test success depends on many factors including individual ability, practice, and test-day conditions.
• Our liability for any loss or damage arising from our services is limited to the fees paid for the specific lesson(s) in question.
• We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from the use of our services or website.
• We maintain appropriate motor insurance for all driving instruction activities. Students are covered under our insurance policy during lessons.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

6. Student Responsibilities

As a student, you agree to:

• Hold a valid provisional driving licence (or full licence if applicable) and carry it to every lesson.
• Inform us of any medical conditions that may affect your ability to drive safely.
• Not attend lessons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that may impair your ability to drive.
• Follow the instructor's directions during lessons for safety purposes.
• Provide accurate and truthful information when registering an account or making bookings.

We reserve the right to terminate a lesson immediately if we believe you are unfit to drive or are behaving in a manner that compromises safety. In such cases, the full lesson fee remains payable.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of SCS Driving Instructor or its content suppliers and is protected by United Kingdom and international copyright laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, or in any way exploit any of the content on this website without our prior written permission.

The SCS Driving Instructor name, logo, and branding are trademarks of SCS Driving Instructor. Unauthorised use of these marks is prohibited.

8. Website Use

You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the website. Prohibited behaviour includes:

• Attempting to gain unauthorised access to the website, user accounts, or computer systems.
• Submitting false, misleading, or fraudulent information through any form on the website.
